Wallace and Gromit Theme for Ukulele
Now, you’ll have to excuse my ignorance. Is ‘Wallace and Gromit’ a worldwide thing? Do you Australians, Americans or Argentinians know what on earth I’m talking about? I do hope so. Just in case, let me tell you something.
According to Wikipedia: Wallace and Gromit are the main characters in a British series consisting of four animated short films and a feature-length filmby Nick Park of Aardman Animations. The characters are made from moulded plasticine modelling clay on metal armatures, and filmed with stop motion clay animation.
Sheep, cheese and Peter Sallis; Wallace and Gromit has everything a man needs. This theme was written by Julian Nott. It fits so well on the Ukulele. I just wish I’d have played it better. In my defense, I was drunk. Maybe.
If, like me, you make sure you watch ‘Wallace and Gromit’ every Christmas, you’ll be in for a treat with this one. It’s such a recognisable theme. My version is a little tricky but you should only use it as a guide. Play around with the melody and see what version you can come up with.
My Arm Hurts
The days are getting shorter around here. It’s cold, wet and dull. I’m hibernating. I’ve started playing ‘Dishounoured’ on my Xbox and am struggling to put it down. The Xbox controller kills me after a few hours but I cannot stop. I have, however, just tabbed out one of the greatest songs ever. Keep your eyes peeled for future updates.
Did you know…other Ukulele websites also exist? I’ve been enjoying the Eugene Ukulele site a lot recently, and you should too.
