Twin Peaks Ukulele – Falling
I went with ‘Falling’. You can thank Nerd Girl here. This amazing piece was written by Angelo Badalamenti and David Lynch and famously performed by Julee Cruise. If you watched the show you’ll be more familiar with the instrumental version which, of course, I have based my version on. I much prefer it.
I watched all of Twin Peaks as a youth and can honestly admit I had no idea what was happening. I’ve recently re-watched and still have very little idea. Either way, I loved it. What was your favourite part? Talk to me.
This piece is not too difficult to play. The relaxed tempo gives you plenty of room to consider what’s coming next. It’s based around some simple open chords and I’ve used some artistic licence on the Dmadd9 chord. Don’t let all the slash chords put you off either. The difficulty does ramp up on page 2 when I introduce some barre chords. Play around with the tempo and dynamics here and look out for the little g pedal notes.
Enjoy this one. I know I will.
I Love Youtube.
I do. I’m always on there. Do you have a Youtube channel? Let me know. I want to see it.
This week I’ve enjoyed ‘Raggy Ragsdale‘. It’s hard to describe what to expect from Raggy’s channel. Just watch it.
RRCherrypie is so very tasty.
The Little Fears is best avoided before bed.
Is this the greatest Ukulele video ever? Yes.
