Skyrim Ukulele Tabs – Ancient Stones

Skyrim Tab – Ancient Stones for Ukulele

Are you a gamer? You may recognise this from Skyrim, a game about patience, repetition and dark dungeons. There’s dragon in it too. Who doesn’t love a dragon? Even if you’ve never touched a computer game in your life, it’s still worth having a look over this one. Composer Jeremy Soule does a grand job and this little piece is well worth adding to your set list. I’ve even included a duet version so you can jam along with your imaginary girlfriend.

What This Piece Can Teach You –

  • Variations on a theme.
  • Some rarely used chord inversions.
  • Try both easy and hard versions.
  • Work on your right hand picking.

My arrangement is originally based on a piano arrangement by a chap called Scamper. Search for him by name. He’s good. With this in mind I’ve tried to mimic both the left and right hand onto a single ukulele. The ‘easy’ version has much less of this so perhaps it’s a good place to start. The difficulty really ramps up around half way through, what with the high chords and double stops. Luckily, this piece can be played at a slow, relaxing pace so it’s very forgiving. Fus ro dah.

Remember that I make Ukulele e-books too. You get a wide variation of styles to play around with and they are all super cheap. Why not try the Classical Guitar for Ukulele series? Or explore more duets with The Group Ukulele.

    Thanks Carl for the tab!
It’s just an awesome song which reminds of all the beautiful moments in Skyrim.
Ironically, I found the “harder” version of the tab easier to play. Maybe it’s just me 🙂
