Little Boxes – Learn to Play The Theme from Weeds on Ukulele

Learn to Play ‘Little Boxes’ from Weeds for Uke

Malvina Reynolds sure did love her ticky tacky. How about you? As well as being an awesome song, Little Boxes is the theme tune to ‘Weeds’. On the later series it is performed by a number of artists. This is my version. Perhaps they’ll use it in the show one day? Even though it’s been cancelled? Did you watch it? What did you think? I got bored after series 3.

This is a great piece to play. You may want to begin with the ‘Lead’ version I have created for you. I tried to make the most of the campanella tuning here. Watch out for generous use of the campanella tuning and some awkward stretches to the high frets. The version you see in the video is the ‘Solo’ sheet. I had a little fun with this one and added in a sneaky key change, which pretty much means you’ll be able to play along with the original. Look out for the thirds in bar 12. If these are too tricky, just play the notes on the little A.

Have fun and let me know how you get on, yeah?

Thank you so much for the cords of Little Boxes. We watch ‘Weeds’, and hum this ‘Little Boxes’, all evening after the Netflix segment. so funny – and not to take very serious.
